Synopsis for "Part Eight; In Which We Discover the Way of the World"Edit

Rojhaz reveals to Clea and Virginia Dare that he is actually Steven Rogers, the Captain America in the future. Rogers tells his scant origins to the astonished women, and a America he fought for. Rogers further reveals that he didn't age a single day, presumably from the super-soldier serum he was inoculated, and lived up to a dystopian future where that era's heroes were already retired or killed off by a repressive American regime ruled by a "President-For-Life." As Captain America, Rogers fought against this regime but was caught. However, instead of simply killing him in fear of making him a martyr, the government banished him into the past by a time-machine. Rogers was awoken and dazed with brief amnesia in 16th century America. He was then founded and taken in by the local Native Americans, and became one of their tribe. As previously told by Virginia, Rogers and the other Indians helped the Roanoke colonists from fatigue and starvation. There Rogers saw the importance of Virginia as being the first child born in America, which symbolized and represent his America and that was why he always protect her to make that dream come true.

The Eagle's Shadow arrives in Roanoke. Thor transform back into Donal, and reveals his origins to Richard Reed and Susan Storm. The staff which transform Donal was brought by Pilgrims to Jerusalem following the end of worship of the old gods. It was rediscovered by Hugh de Payns underneath the Temple of Jerusalem and charged the Knights Templar to look after it, but also to keep it secret from ever letting the people to realize that gods exists which Reed summarize that their existence would bring down the Church. Donal then admits that he enjoyed being Thor, and believes that he damned himself in front of Christianity.

In the town of Roanoke, Nicholas Fury told everything to Governor Dare of the events that happened in England and Europe. Dare is willingly to harbor shelter for Fury and his allies, but Fury points out that harboring a ship load of "traitors and monsters" would be seen as treason by King James and endangering the colony. Fury, however, plan on making the colony "captured" and plans on making Roanoke independent from England. Dare agrees after Fury further tells that his daughter Virginia is still presumably with James.
